The Pioneer Days in Saskatchewan, as a homesteader, could be brutal. There were many struggles in day to day life that the people in this area had to overcome just to survive, and if they didn't, none of us would be living here.

Dealing with drought, hunger, storms, weather, and more, all while continuing to farm and often provide for large families; working everyday through weekness, illness, and other mental and physical strains, these strong communities worked together to get through some of the hardest times in history.

In this temporary exhibit we hope that you are able to put yourself into their worn, torn shoes, and see just how hard it was to get to where we are today, and the sacrafices they had to make.
